Terms of service

These terms apply to your use of ilgeco.co.za and to any order you place with IL GECO Wines. By using this site or placing an order, you agree to them.

Age restriction

You must be 18 years or older to buy alcohol in South Africa. By placing an order you confirm that you are 18 or older, and that the person receiving the delivery is 18 or older. Our courier may ask for identification on delivery and may refuse to hand over an order without it. No alcohol will be sold or delivered to a person under 18.

Products

Our wines are sold in cases of six bottles. We do not sell single bottles. Wine is an agricultural product made in small quantities, so vintages change and stock is limited. Colour, sediment and natural tartrate crystals may vary between bottles and are not defects.

Prices and payment

All prices are shown in South African Rand and include VAT where applicable. Prices may change at any time before you place an order. Payment is taken at checkout through our payment provider. Your order is only confirmed once payment has been received.

Orders

We may decline or cancel an order, and refund you in full, if the item is out of stock, if there was a pricing or description error, if we cannot verify your age, or if we cannot deliver to your address.

Delivery

Delivery terms are set out in our shipping policy. Risk in the wine passes to you on delivery.

Returns

Returns are covered by our refund policy and by the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.

Intellectual property

All content on this site, including text, photography, label artwork and the IL GECO name and gecko device, belongs to IL GECO Wines and may not be reproduced without permission.

Liability

We take care to keep the information on this site accurate, but we do not warrant that it is complete or error free. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act.

Responsible enjoyment

Not for sale to persons under the age of 18. Enjoy responsibly.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
